Labor, our Channel Country rivers are too precious to frack!

Join us for this powerful chance to tell Queensland Labor our Channel Country Rivers are too precious to frack!

Every two years, Queensland Labor members decide on the party’s policy platform at a State Conference. Labor state conference is an important opportunity for influencing the priorities of the Palaszczuk Government.

Join us in coming together outside the Queensland Labor State Conference to send a strong message that our magnificent Lake Eyre Basin rivers and Channel Country floodplains are too precious to frack. As Labor members enter the Conference, we want to remind them that the Queensland Labor Government has promised to protect the rivers and floodplains of the Channel Country over the last two terms of government, but they haven’t yet delivered.

Queensland Labor is leaving Channel Country wildlife, livelihoods and culture at risk.

With the gas giants on the march, there’s no time left to lose. Let’s remind Labor of their commitments, and get these floodplains protected once and for all.

Make sure to bring a hat, water, and if you can a sign signalling your support for better protection for the rivers and floodplains of the Channel Country.
